I've been through pretty much all of the "whole grain" organic chicken feeds and this is the only one that actually is made from grains which are whole i.e. whole grains. I'm sure the others start out with whole grains (or at least good intentions) but by the time their product arrives packaged as feed for my birds, they are mostly dust with nothing in them recognizable as a grain. Dust, regardless of the fact that it's original form was that of a grain or combination of grains, ends up on my coop floor as waste. Scratch and Peck is a feed compromised of actual whole grains. What I mean by this is that they are whole when you get them and not just at some abstract historical point in their remote past. There is much less waste than with other brands. It smells great. Some chicken feed smell kind of...not great. This one smells great. It smells...fresh. The chickens like it and it's good for them. I wish Scotty could beam this stuff over to my coop in 50 lb. bags.

This is the best chicken feed!! The grains are not crushed like the others. They ship fast too.
Wish I could get it here in Texas.

My chickens loved this food! It looked wonderful. My only issue is cost. When I fed them they were going crazy for it.
